Hudson - March 2026 Update

What a promise we have within Scripture that Jesus’ words are 100% reliable and His mission cannot be thwarted!
It has been two months now since we arrived back to Colombia! Ministries started up pretty quickly and people were knocking on the door soon after arrival.🙂 Besides the typical Kid’s Club, Youth Group, weekly Bible studies, women’s group, counseling, and university students Bible study, Karen from church and I have felt the need to do a mom’s group to pray for our own children and the children of our church and our neighborhoods.
Therefore, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings we have a phone call with many moms dedicated to praying for this generation of children. It has been a blessing and convicting time as we see the sin in our own lives as well and need God to lead us each day as we parent and hope for salvation for each child! We use the book, “The One Year Praying through the Bible for Your Kids” by Nancy Guthrie as a guide.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please pray specifically for Emilio, a new guy that has moved to the neighborhood and has been coming to church and university students group. He knows the Bible but needs encouragement as he is Venezuelan and is alone.
Pray for Juliana and Stevan, a young couple that joined our church last year and have been helping out but have just miscarried their first baby.
Pray for Jhostin (pronounced Justin), who is Angie’s little brother. He has been coming to Kid’s Club now for several months and has had many questions recently about the lessons and the gospel.
Please pray for the 6 married couples in our church that they would live godly lives and be examples to others.
Pray for Marissa as she is getting all the paperwork ready to apply again for a new visa.
Pray for Andrés and now Camilio, as they take virtual seminary classes, and for María Fernanda who continues to study at the seminary in Bogota. (In South America many seminaries are like Bible institutes and go towards a Bible degree).
Please pray for Peter as he is gone several weeks this month teaching at our seminary in Bogota. My parents were able to come for a week visit to help out and of course, spend time with Zaion. Zaion is growing exponentially now and at 16 months is speaking both languages. It is a joy for Peter and I to raise him and share him with the world!
Our final prayers are for our trip next week to the Amazons. We have an ABWE retreat there where our teammates, the Nietos, serve. It is a much hotter and more humid climate, and Zaion is prone to heat rashes. Pray that he will do well despite the heat and for an edifying retreat with the other three ABWE Colombia families, and Marissa and Heidi.
We are thankful truly for your prayers for us and for the ministries and people here. We certainly feel them and know that we cannot do this without our wonderful Lord and without you all to sustain us and love us through it all. Peter is in the last few chapters of his sermon series in Matthew. Meanwhile, Zaion is starting ministry and helping Andres with seminary homework and Wednesday night Bible
study teaching.
Youth Group has been fun and challenging as we have a big new group of kids, but typical of this area, none come from a Christian background so they come on their own and have rough ideas on why the Bible has any authority. However, some have started to engage in
good conversations, and the boys love on Zaion well.
